The Friday Girl's Style Spots: London Collections Men

So London Collections Men has been on this week and I've had my eye out on all the blogs and magazines for some stylish attendees to share with you all on this lovely Friday! I love a dapper Gentleman and these boys certainly show us how it's done in the style stakes.

Model David Gandy, Nick Grimshaw, the winner of GQ's Best Dressed Men this month and Dermot O'Leary who I always associate with a well fitting suit anyway, thanks to X Factor! I especially like Nick's Chelsea boots and spotty shirt.

I am all over this look, a bit different from the other men that I've featured. A bit more fashion forward than English gent, but amazingly stylish all the same. Stylist John Jarrett hits the nail on the head with his Topman trousers and his Oliver Sweeney boots.

Troy Alexander, style blogger extraordinaire looks great in his simple, well cut blazer but with a gorgeous pop of bright colour to brighten these dreary London days. A sharp white shirt is always a winner in my books too.

Rapper Wretch 32 and Model Jack Guiness are looking super suave here, I am especially digging Wretch's pinky-red blazer and white trousers combination. Only Wretch could pull that off though, am I right? Jack looks ever the British Gentleman here in his single-breasted suit and navy tie topped off with a lovely little pocket square. These boys are as stylish as you like!

LFW: Ji Cheng at Freemason's Hall

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of attending a vibrant LFW catwalk show. The designer in question was the beautifully talented Ji Cheng and what a show it was. Beginning with a stunningly original video projection, it became clear that this was set to be more than just your standard fashion show. As soon as the models took to the runway this was only proven more. Every spectator fell into instant awe at the designer's flair for colour and technical skills. With sheer fabrics, pinks and fluid silhouettes meandering through many of the looks, this only went to strengthen the list of possible trends that emerged from LFW as a whole. The second half of the show incorporated a live performance which not only lifted the energy on the catwalk but also gave the show its accessible eastern edge. The show ended with the humble designer making a swift but notable appearance. Trend Alert AW13: Berry

Having last time revealed that orange is set to be a key colour this autumn/winter. The attention now turns to the fruity range of berry hues that are beginning to work their way onto the high street. Having begun to creep into the style spotlight last winter, this rich, versatile colour is set to arrive with a bang as shops and designers drop their AW13 ranges. Worn with light grey, black, pale green or crisp white, this festive colour choice will be sure to see you through the entire season. Here are a few of my personal favourites already available.

What to wear to Carnival...

With the August bank holiday finally upon us, many will be heading to the west of the capital to make the most of Notting Hill's annual carnival. As music and delicious Caribbean cuisines fill the streets, its the perfect time to go bold with your outfit. After all when it comes to carnival it's all about being colourful and creative!

Luckily with the high street offering endless bold prints and colours this season, its your decision as to how bright you want to go. 

Here is an example look that is both wearable and comfortable. Not to mention a little bit playful too...

Start with a statement dress. This fern print from Topshop will make heads turn, yet manages to flatter with its dark base colour. 

Trainers, like these ones from Nike, are the ideal comfortable footwear. Whilst adding an urban edge, they also appear playful when worn with a dress. 

Accessorise with rings and chunky necklaces. Fringed, tribal and thick chained designs are particularly hot this season!

Finally finish your look with your favourite sunnies. There are endless possibilities when it comes to style, colour and shape. So have fun.
