@TweetUpBath: Bath's biggest networking buzz

New venture @TweetUpBath recently set up by like minded Bathonians Paul Kellers & Sarah Fairchild is the perfect opportunity to meet other businesses in the local area, with no pretence, member costs or hard sell. Our stylist Amy found out for herself when attending the event held at The Porter in Bath last Tuesday:

"The informal yet stylish setting immediately established a tone for the evening, which irradicated the stiff and awkward notion that events of this type have been stereotyped with. Having only experienced uninviting networking environments in the past, to meet and greet friendly faces from a broad range of businesses was a breath of fresh air and helped eliminate any tension"

This is the second non-profit event held by @TweetUpBath and the response has been incredible. The freedom to chat with over 250 local business goers offers the best opportunity to network freely with people you may never come across otherwise. Cocktail ice lollies, classic wine tasting, feel good photography and relaxing massages were just a few of the subjects covered at the event.

Amy continues "To compliment the evening each member received fantastic goody bag courtesy of Debbie at Bath Stag Shop among others filled with tasty snacks such as delicious floral chocolates from Charlotte Brunswick, a yummy cookie from Coffee@Camden and a scrumptious chocolate chip lollipop were surrounded by useful business cards. Munching on bespoke treats whilst sifting through the cards was a great start to Wednesday morning - there was even a gorgeous notepad from Robert Frederick to jot down my thoughts. Perfect!"

Overall, the event was a huge success created by the power of social media, this is a clever way of bringing the community of Bath closer together. And there will be plenty more! Make sure you keep up to speed on the twitter feed: @TweetUpBath
